This is the first chapter in a new series of whiskies, all about celebrating those who have shaped Laphroaig. Beginning with the pioneering Donald Johnston, who with his brother, created the iconic Laphroaig whisky we all know today.
Donald’s life is shown through the artwork of illustrator Bill Bragg. An award-winning artist whose work can be found across the bottle, box and booklet.
Celebrating an uncompromised commitment to producing whisky this 33 Year Old single malt, marks Donald’s story.
The long maturation brings new depth to Laphroaig’s iconic character. A unique mix of flavours from three decades of maturation. Now it’s finally time to share it with our community.
This is your chance to own a piece of Laphroaig history which connects our past and present in a single bottle.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Creamy fudge with honey and a touch of sea salt.
Palate: Starting with stewed fruit and smooth vanilla créme brûlée.
Finish: Our iconic smoky finish sets the scene for savoury aromas of cured meat.
